My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men (i.e. others).

Allaahum-mahdinee feeman hadayta, wa ‘aafinee feeman ‘aafayta, wa tawallanee feeman tawallayta, wa baarik lee feemaa ‘a’atayta, wa qinee sharra maa qadhayta, fa’innaka taqdhee wa laa yuqdhaa ‘alayka, ‘innahu laa yathillu man waalayta, [wa laa ya ‘izzu man ‘aadayta], tabaarakta Rabbanaa wa ta’aalayta

O Allah, guide me with those whom You have guided, and strengthen me with those whom You have given strength. Take me to Your care with those whom You have taken to Your care. Bless me in what You have given me. Protect me from the evil You have ordained. Surely, You command and are not commanded, and none whom You have committed to Your care shall be humiliated [and none whom You have taken as an enemy shall taste glory]. You are Blessed, Our Lord, and Exalted.

(In the morning) None has the right to be worshiped but Allah alone, Who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise and He is Able to do all things. (Recite ten times in Arabic or one time to ward off laziness)

Laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in Qadeer

Prophet (SAW) said: “Allah will write one hundred Hasanat for whoever says There is no God but Allah alone, He has no partner. To Allah is possession of everything, and to Him all praise is. He is Capable of all things’ ten times in the morning, and forgive him one hundred misdeeds. He will have the reward of freeing a slave and will be protected from Satan throughout the day unto dusk. Whoever says it in the evening will have the same reward.” Ahmad 8/704, 16/293.

Allah we ask You for Your light and the light of those You love and the light of those who love You, ameen

1. Ch: 2. Al-Baqarah V: 127

Transliteration :

Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas Sameeaul Aleem

Translation :

Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower

Context :

[2:125]

And (remember) when We made the House (the Ka’bah at Makkah) a place of resort for mankind and a place of safety. And take you (people) the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim (Abraham) [or the stone on which Ibrahim (Abraham) stood while he was building the Ka’bah] as a place of prayer (for some of your prayers, e.g. two Rak’at after the Tawaf of the Ka’bah at Makkah), and We commanded Ibrahim (Abraham) and Isma’il (Ishmael) that they should purify My House (the Ka’bah at Makkah) for those who are circumambulating it, or staying (I’tikaf), or bowing or prostrating themselves (there, in prayer).

[2:126]

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said, “My Lord, make this city (Makkah) a place of security and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day.” He (Allah) answered: “As for him who disbelieves, I shall leave him in contentment for a while, then I shall compel him to the torment of the Fire, and worst indeed is that destination!”

[2:127]

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) and (his son) Isma’il (Ishmael) were raising the foundations of the House (the Ka’bah at Makkah), (saying), “Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.”

[2:128]

“Our Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation submissive unto You, and show us our Manasik (all the ceremonies of pilgrimage – Hajj and ‘Umrah, etc.), and accept our repentance. Truly, You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.

3. Ch: 2. Al-Baqarah V: 201

Transliteration :

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‘akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar

Translation :

Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire!

Context :

[2:200]

So when you have accomplished your Manasik [(i.e. Ihram, Tawaf of the Ka’bah and As-Safa and Al-Marwah), stay at ‘Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina, Ramy of Jamarat, (stoning of the specified pillars in Mina) slaughtering of Hady (animal, etc.)]. Remember Allah as you remember your forefathers or with a far more remembrance. But of mankind there are some who say: “Our Lord! Give us (Your Bounties) in this world!” and for such there will be no portion in the Hereafter.

[2:201]

And of them there are some who say: “Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire!”

[2:202]

For them there will be alloted a share for what they have earned. And Allah is Swift at reckoning.

63. Allaahumma ‘innee ‘as’aluka yaaAllaahu bi’annakal-Waahidul-‘Ahadus-Samadul-lathee, lam yalid wa lam yoolad, wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ‘Ahad, ‘an taghfira lee thunoobee ‘innaka ‘Antal-Ghafoorur-Raheem.

63. O Allah, I ask You. O Allah, You are the One, the Only, Self-Sufficient Master, Who was not begotten and begets not and none is equal to Him. Forgive me my sins, surely you are Forgiving, Merciful.

61. Allaahumma ‘innee ‘as’alukal-jannata wa ‘a’oothu bika minan-naar.

61. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and seek Your protection from the Fire.

(Mishkat and Hsinul Hasin, Bukhari Muslim)

“O Allah, save me from the punishment on the Day when You will gather Your servants”.

Alternatively recite this dua

“Oh my Lord, I have taken Your name and placed myself on my side and by Your power will rise up again. If you take my soul whilst I am sleeping (grant me death) then have mercy on my soul and if you leave me (let me live) by your power protect me by that with which you have protected your righteous servants”.

(Bukhari, Muslim)

Or recite this dua

“O Allah, by Your name I live and die”.

(Bukhari, Muslim)

Or recite this dua

“I submit my life to you, I turn towards You and leave my work unto you, I lean on you, desire your boons and fear you as there is no other salvation besides you. I believe in the kitab (Book) you have revealed and in the Rasul(Prophet) you have sent.

Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) showed (taught a Sahabi) this dua and said: “If after reading it you die in the night, then it is as if you have died on ‘Natural Deen’ and if you awake in the morning alive then you will have good fortune”.

O Allah there is no portent other than Your portent, no goodness other than Your goodness, and none

worthy of worship other than You.

Allaahumma laa tayra ‘illaa tayruka, wa laa khayra ‘illaa khayruka, wa laa ‘ilaaha ghayruka.
