1 surefire way to feel connected to Allah (swt) is to notice any “help” that comes to you. Whenever you receive “help” of any kind, be assured that such “help” is always from Allah. All help is from Him. All good is from Him. Help and goodness coming into your life is a sign of Allah.
As the fifth verse of Surah Al-Fatihah states, we ask Allah for help, because all help originates from Him.
This morning I woke up and thanked Allah for helping me to publish articles on popular Islamic websites. I remember when my book’s publication date was approaching, and I was afraid that my book was not well-known. Then just a few months before publication, Allah helped me to publish my first article on ProductiveMuslim.com, and now thousands of people knew about my book. I was so thankful to Allah for helping me during this insecure time.
Now, Alhamdulilah, I have articles on the blog of the Islamic Online University, and one of my articles has over 30,000 shares. I know this is help from Allah, Who has allowed me to share my ideas with my Muslim sisters and brothers.
Help from Allah can take smaller forms too, of course. This morning I almost forgot a bag of bread I had bought from a store, and before I walked out, the cashier gave me the bag, saving me another trip to the store.
When we remember to notice the “help” of Allah, we will feel more connected to Him, because all help is from Him!
