The Calm Experiment

Lately I’ve come to the realization that when we have a problem, and we are not sure what to do, the best solution is to:

1. Admit to Allah (swt) that you do NOT know what you should do.
2. Ask Allah to guide you/help you with this issue.
3. Bring your inner state to a feeling a calmness/feeling good within.
4. Look for the signs of Allah around you, receive ideas as to what to do about the situation (for example: talk to someone you trust about it) and ultimately receive the solution to your problem.

I urge readers to try this experiment the next time they face an issue about which they do not know what to do. By admitting our uncertainty about a situation, turning to Allah, and bringing our inner state to a feeling of calmness and peace, I believe that the situation will naturally be resolved. I am learning about the peace that comes from admitting that sometimes I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

Reading your article will ,god willing, encourage the reader to contemplate what you yourself have experienced. I have 5 children, who i am happy to say are now grownups, and boy! did I had to learn how to stay calm in many situations! I do my best, today, in my life to remain calm when confronted with whatever(lol). You do great work, may Allah (swt) continue to guide you to be of help to your fellow man!
